Letter from Chair of Board

Nichelle Cole

Dear Friend,

Thank you for choosing to visit our Wilson County Partnership for Children (WCPFC) website. As you move from section to section, you will see the energy and resources at work making Wilson County a positive place for young learners ages birth to five years old. Some will go boldly and boisterously through early childhood into the future. Some will go sweetly and softly. Regardless of how they go, their families are supported by services administered by the staff of WCPFC. The services include a child resources and referral program, a lending library, the North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten program, information on childcare subsidy scholarships and Shape NC. Please give each one a click and a few ticks of your time to become aware of what is happening at the WCPFC for families with young children getting ready to grow and glow right here and now.

All that said and done, aren’t you convinced that our organization is definitely one that you would be proud to be a part of? Our website is set to accept your donation dollars of any amount. If you prefer my favorite donation method, please send a check by mail to Wilson County Partnership for Children, 109 Park Avenue West, PO Box 2661, Wilson, NC 27893.

Along with your donation dollars, please know that you are welcome to learn about how to invest your talents and interests within the WCPFC as a volunteer. Our staff is available to talk with you by phone or to answer your questions by email.

Let me take this opportunity to recommend a charming children’s book for you to read to budding young listeners and lookers. It is IT TAKES A VILLAGE, written and illustrated by Jane Cowen-Flethcher. It is a loving, endearing story focusing on the proverb: It takes a village to raise a child. Please do what you can to join in elevating young learners throughout Wilson County. Please donate to the Wilson County Partnership for Children.

With gratitude,

Nichelle Cole

Chair, Board of Directors
